After spending a truck load of cold hard cash on this I am now thinking twice about selling it! It just rides so nice, it never fails to bring a smile when you are riding this sporty.

Last of the right foot shift/left foot brake ironhead sportster a 1974 Harley Davidson XLCH Sportster 1000cc, best year of the AMF Sportsters in my opinion, electric start, matching frame and engine, new front rim and spokes on it, 2 brand new tyres, original carb and air cleaner, a new leather solo seat, also included in sale is a brand new dual seat and sissy bar, paint is brand new HD Birch white with new AMF graphics. Forks just rebuilt, new kit on front brakes.

According to last owner the engine had a full rebuild 2326 miles ago. All the chrome and alloy is in very nice shape, starts easy, rides like a dream (a good dream that is), after recent work NO oil leaks! just a nice 70s ERA sportster ready to ride. These early sportsters are on the rise so you can’t lose buying one at this price.

Just replaced all oil lines, new seals, chain and sprockets. This is one well looked after sporty!

UPDATE: Just replaced transmission bearings – transmission mainshaft – and some gears all with the good Andrews stuff, so you can rest assured that the usual ironhead problem area (transmission) has been addressed and sorted. 

I have updated the pics showing the bike with the stock bars, sissy bar, alternative seat and hiway pegs.

Bike will come with RWC and rego

I also will include a new 2 piston front brake caliper.

Sorry spilt fuel on the tank and didn’t notice so the decal on one side of the tank will need replacing, or if I can’t sell it it will get air brushed
